A rectangular sheet metal case and a polythene removable lid. Case fitted with a 4mm earthing socket, sliding glass window, a gold leaf support plate and an arc type notched scale. Supplied with one pair of gold leaves.

Consist of a conical borosilicate flask. A brass rod passes through a cork which seals the mouth of flask, upper end of which is in the form of a disc and at lower end gold leaf is attached.

We've mounted an insulated stand on a solid round base. Over the hook at the stands end you dangle a silk thread with a light pith ball attached to each end. Pith balls react sensitively to static charges like those from a charged friction rod. Comes with 3 strings and six pith balls.
