Wave Form Helix, Slinky
Wave Form Helix, Slinky

For demonstration of wave motion, helical coil of flat section tempered steel, fully extended 3 meters.

Cat. No. Description
A Coil dia 75 mm closed length 11 cms
B Coil dia 50mm, Closed length 7.5cms

Waves Demonstration Apparatus
Waves Demonstration Apparatus

For demonstrating both longitudinal and transverse motions, comprising a number of eccentric discs  supporting a series of metal rods. Transverse waves are obtained on revolving the handle, longitudinal waves obtained with bent rods running in a metal guide and fitted on polished wooden base.

Cat. No. Pulleys
A 18
B 24

Wave Model
Wave Model

Consist of nineteen spheres of 10 mm diameter mounted on steel rod of length 75 mm with collar for attachment to a horizontal 300 mm shaft which rotates in two metal pillars mounted on a wooden base. Movement can be observed by rotating the handle

Wave Demonstrations Kit
Wave Demonstrations Kit

An inexpensive kit to demonstrate the theory of waves. Comprises one large demonstration transverse wave machine, which consists of 80 arms spaced on a nylon line. The transverse wave machine provides an example of transverse wave propagation in which the movements of the rods create the waves. This can also be used to show the superimposition of waves, amplitude and decay, stationary waves, modes and harmonics, reflection and transmission. The waves are actuated by hand. The loaded elastic cords can be used to illustrate transverse wave motion and for comparing the effects of different wave parameters such as the average mass per unit length, cell size and tension..

Dual Purpose Ripple Tank
Dual Purpose Ripple Tank

The ripple tank is a device to illustrate the laws which govern all wave phenomenon using ripples on the surface of water as the prototypes of all transverse waves. Ripple tank illustrates important wave motions like rectilinear and circular. It can also demonstrate refraction, diffraction and interference of water waves. The apparatus consists of a framed tray with a plexi glass base and detachable legs. A pair of support rods with clamps is provided which can be attached to the sides of the tank and used to carry the wave generating system. The ripples are produced by a small 1.5 to 4.5V D.C. electric motor mounted at the centre of a wooden wave generator bar with a row of holes to mount the spherical dippers supplied. It is recommended that the power supply unit is used as this has been specially designed for use with the ripple tank. It has continuously variable D.C.. output so that the speed of the motor and hence the frequency of the ripples may be varied. One white card sheet may be placed on the floor underneath the tank as a screen to receive the wave pattern shadows. Tank can be used with an overhead projector. Size of the tank 500 mm x 500mm (Approx.)
